What to wear this Summer/15?

Here are the "Top 10 Trends" for Spring/Summer 2015

There is still a chill in the air and the leaves have barely fallen off the branches but the fashion world never stops and this week's "hot topic" is the new trends for this spring/summer.

The big shows like London/New York/Paris/Milan fashion weeks are all wrapped up and we are ready to present this year's wearable trends straight from the catwalk......Nostalgia for the early 1970s dominated the runways this season, but the message went beyond "make love, not war".

  • Bohemian Flow

"Love is in the air" this Summer thanks to designers such as Vera Wang and Valentino with this first trend. The look is romantic, flowy & feminine.

This year's top fashion shows, saw designers ditching the curvaceous silhouette for a softer, lighter look.

Itsomi adores this trend as it embodies our boho-chic style completely. Our brand JPB have the perfect collection for this stunning day or night look.

  • Transparency & Sheer

This spring/summer 2015 we will see a lot of transparency, showing skin through sheer panels. The look is both sexy and demure, it was all about the strategically placed panels and florals on the runways this year.

  • Gingham

The gridlock pattern is back and its everywhere!!
This pattern was famously worn by the French bombshell Brigitte Bardot on her wedding day. This season gingham fabric is in abundance from minidresses to cullottes to coats. It is a must!!

This Malene Birger shirt with gingham print detailing is perfect for this look and will be available to buy in store and online very soon.

  • Trouser Suit

Power dressing has taken a  whole different direction and its  about time.....
The buzz this year is centred  around the trouser suit, all the  designers are on this trend and  adding their extra touch like  Chanel and their shimmering  pinstripe. The only rule is :  cropped trousers !

  • Here comes the bride....all dressed in ..

Yessss this year one of the main colours is white and the head-to-toe white looks were everywhere throughout every fashion week.

Designers such as Victoria Beckham and Prabal Gurung all showed off their white monochrome looks with their own little twists.

  • Suede

This year there is a real seventies feel about the catwalk with textures, vintage prints and bold flowers. BUT it wouldn't be the 70´s without suede.
Suede trench coats, suede boot-cut trousers , suede shorts ........ anything suede..goes!

  • Flower Power

Spring is definitely in the air and it has never been fresher. Floral prints could not be more in - either big and beautiful or minute and abstract, this season, flower power is boldly feminine and it is not going anywhere.

Equipment`s bold flower print shirt is perfect for a fashion forward spring look and is available in store and coming soon to itsomi online.

  • Denim

Jeans are a "forever garment" that we all know and love BUT this year its denim denim everywhere. Denim coats, denim skirts, denim jumpsuits, from dark to light, jewelled, bedazzled, ripped or however you want to where denim .....there are no rules this year!!!

  •  Fringe VS Ruffles

"Shake it shake it"- 2015 brings movement and lots of it!!
Many designers have taken the boho style fringe and incorporated it into their own designs, and we are ecstatic because fringe means lots of swinging, shaking and always adds a little fun to a look.

Ruffles are back - well it wouldn't be the seventies without ruffles...

  • Seventies festival

This year the festival look revolves around floral prints, printed chiffon, lacy feminine dresses, oversized jackets, loose print trousers & long flowy dresses. Embrace the seventies and have fun......

JPB dress is perfect for festival look - available in store and online soon

"love & Peace for summer 2015"

Itsomi xoxo
